Tears, Tributes as Tolulope Arotile, Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot, buried + PHOTOS

 

Amidst tears and tributes, the coprse of Tolulope Arotile, first ever female combat helicopter pilot in Nigeria’s history, has been buried.

Tolulope, a graduate of Mathematics, became the first female to pilot a combat helicopter in Africa’s most populous country just at the age of 23 year-old.

Relatives performing last respect

Her remains, Platforms Africa reports, were committed to mother earth at the Military Cemetery in Abuja, administrative capital of Nigeria, with full Military honours.

The remains were lowered into the grave at exactly 11.05 am.

The Nigerian Military led by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olonisakin paid tributes to Tolulope as she was committed to mother earth.
